GT-810DF Model tandoor with a (43cm) 17 inch mouth for large breads, volume tandoori bread cooking, too many tandoori skewers. 810 model is the largest selling size in the world for stand alone restaurants. This 32 inch (81cm) Tandoor size sells best as it provides required output for a tandoori cuisine serving restaurant doing naan breads and skewers both. The high heat burner with a large belly but still under 81 cm (32 inch) width makes it easier for the tandoor to be installed under the hood. Multiple units of this tandoor are used together for multi serving buffet restaurants doing breads in one and the skewers in the other. Banquets use this tandoor in multiple numbers for various item serving.
Dual use means either charcoal or gas, this option is for convenience when either fuel is unavailable. Dual Fuel Tandoors are designed to run on Charcoal, Natural Gas, Propane gas, LPG, Town Gas, SNG and can be custom ordered and supplied to suit the gas type available.
The tandoors are standard heavy duty double body double insulated (ceramic) charcoal tandoors from our range and are supplied with a Heavy Duty Burner (burner model depends on tandoor size), very heavy-duty burner plate (made from alloy or stainless steel to last very long), fitting and valves with pilot lighting. These are semi-assembled to use so your gas person just has to place them in the tandoor and connect the gas line.
Best tandoors for use where fuel availability is an issue, or the supply of fuel is erratic, or the gas type changes due to demand and supply.
Advantages & Benefits of Dual Fuel Tandoors

- Gas burners supplied are for low pressure gas only saving you 60% plus gas compared to high pressure burners that other suppliers provide.
- Different types of gases can be used and switching between gases is also possible

Disadvantages & Drawbacks of Dual Fuel Tandoors
- Gas pipes are installed from the front which can accumulate dust & grin creating sanitation issues. Protruding pipeline and valves can also create hindrance of movement of chef and staff
- Burners are not calibrated as gases composition is unknown thus carbon monoxide levels cannot be controlled as desired
- Preferred for open kitchen concepts & very well-ventilated work area
- Countries like Canada / Australia do not allow these dual fuel tandoors to be used in commercial establishments as per law. Check local legal requirements in your country before installing dual fuel use tandoors in your establishment. We do not sell or ship dual fuel tandoors to any of these restricted countries
Dual Fuel tandoors cannot be used simultaneously with gas and charcoal which is not safe to do as the soot from the burnt charcoal would clog the burner of the tandoor. Do not light your charcoal with the gas burner, use charcoal starter.
Gas Tandoors with safety perform better and safer. Unless you have a fuel supply issue its recommended to use gas tandoors with safety.
